Honda’s all-new 2016 Civic exposed days ahead of its Sept 16 Web reveal

Bigwig automaker Honda has scheduled the Web reveal of its all-new 2016 Civic in a special YouTube event on September 16. The 'Concept' version of the 2016 Civic was unveiled by Honda at the 2015 New York Auto Show last spring; and the car will be officially introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

However, days ahead of the Web reveal coming up next week, the 2016 Honda Civic has been exposed by a member of the popular CivicX.com fan forum. The member clicked a photo of the 2016 Civic in Ann Arbor, Michigan; and leaked in online.

According to the leaked photo, the all-new 2016 Honda Civic is a four-door sedan, with a steeply-sloped rear window. It is bigger and much more striking than the earlier Civic models; and most of its design cues have been pulled from the brilliant lime green 'Concept' version.

Going by the leak, the 2016 Honda Civic the most attention-grabbing design features of the car include its C-shaped taillights and a chrome bar which runs across the front fascia. The car also apparently features a big rear glass, which hints that Honda is reviving the hatchback body configuration as an option for the 2016 Civic model.

Meanwhile, Honda has already revealed that the all-new 2016 Civic - which will mark the tenth-generation of Civic -- will be a "completely overhauled" Civic model, underscoring "the most ambitious remake in its 43-year history."
